Hello everyone! We will introduce ourselves and talk

about our school so that you can get to know us
better. To begin with we are 4 colleagues and friends
Rita Ferreira, Leonor Francisco, Rafael Balão and
Carolina Lemos and we are between 13 and 14
years old. We are all Portuguese, we live in a small
village called Oeiras, near Lisbon and we are in the
9th grade at the Sebastião e Silva Secondary
School. Our school has students from the 7th to the
12th grade with a total of around 1300 students, the
school is an old high school, in operation since
October 1952, named after one of the greatest
Portuguese mathematicians and pedagogues. Our
facilities are incredible, we have a large library, 2
auditoriums, 3 gymnasiums and 2 outdoor fields.
Now we are going to talk a little about Portugal.
Portugal is a country located in the southwest of
Europe, that is, in the Iberian Peninsula.
Portugal has a total area of 92,090 km² and is
bordered on the north and east by Spain and on the
south and west by the Atlantic Ocean, has about 11
million habitants and is populated by people of
various nationalities.
Portugal, in addition to the mainland, has two
archipelagos in the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores and
Madeira.
Portugal is a very historic country because it has
been in some conflicts in the past and was populated
by several people.
Our country has as its capital Lisbon, and is well
known for the Pasteis de Belém and bacalhau.
Portugal is also well known for winning Euro2016
(European football championship).
Finally, a small curiosity, Portugal was classified as
one of the best health systems on the planet and is
also one of the most globalized and peaceful nations
in the world.
