of 12 units Mathematics, 8 units Natural and Physical Sciences, 20 units Basic
Engineering Sciences, 9 units Allied Courses, and 50 units Fundamental Mechanical
Engineering Courses, 33 units Professional Mechanical Engineering Courses, and 6 units
ME Elective courses.
The BSME curriculum includes a total of 280 hours of On-the-Job Training and
Plant Visits to emphasize hands-on application and implementation of the theories and
principles learned. Moreover, board examination training sessions are included as
institutional requirement to prepare graduates before they take the board exam.
Bridging courses are intended for the non-STEM track senior high school
graduates and the high school graduates of the old basic education curriculum who desire
to enrol in the program. The bridging courses are General Chemistry, Mathematics, and
College Physics. The student must have finished these courses before he can enrol in
Calculus 1, Chemistry for Engineers, and Physics for Engineers.
