ONLINE PLACEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Online Placement Management System is aimed at developing an online application for the Training and
Placement Dept. of the college. The system is an online application that can be accessed throughout the
organization and outside as well with proper login provided. The placement process will take care for
three branches-BTECH, MBATECH and MCA. The 3 rd year students need to submit some basic data-
name, address, their 10th and 12th marks, cgpa of all trimesters, whether they have live kts to the placecom
cell. The placecom cell of the college maintains this information. The placecom cell also undertakes mock
test of aptitude test, sessions on how to answer in personal interviews, group discussions for the 3 rd year
students in order to build up their confidence. It also takes care of the internship of the 3 rd year students.
Any student who wants internship from the college can write a letter, the letter is signed by the head of
the dept and that letter is send to different companies. For the final year students, the placecom cell calls
various mass recruitment, dream companies and consultancy. When a company arrives, it takes care of
their hospitality. The company first has a general talk with the students regarding their company, their
details, the package that they will provide etc. It then has group discussions, aptitude test and personal
interviews and so on. The placecom cell keeps track of number of placed students and unplaced students.
Also different companies have different criteria like a student must have minimum 70% in its 10 th and 12th
so it checks the student’s CV and accordingly arranges it.

There are times when a student is not able to send its basic data or CV because of many reasons. It also
happens that he many miss his aptitude test and even other tests. In order to avoid all these, online
placement management system is build. All the resume send by the student which can be maintain in the
database and if any interview call placement manager got he/she can inform through mail to every
student. The students can give aptitude test online.

The online placement management system can be used as an application for placecom cell of the college
to manage the student information with regards to placement. It aims at providing the Facility to automate
and simplify the process of registration and list generation of eligible students for placement. Students
logging should be able to upload their information in the form of a CV. Visitors/Company representatives
logging in may also access/search any information put up by Students. The students can apply online for
internship and can also ask queries regarding to the placement procedure and they will be answered at that
instant. It also provides the facility of video conferencing with the company in case the student has
missed his personal interview.
