IV. Background:

Bullying is one of the academic issues that most educators are facing. It is one of the most top
concerns of parents. Thus, our lawmakers came up with the Republic Act. No. 10627 known as the
"Anti-bullying Act of 2013" which protects students from bullying and other forms of violence. This law
also aims to guarantee that school being the second home of the students will be a safe place for their
growth and learning. Bullying in the school compound has a negative effect on individual students and
on the school climate as well. .

This program and activities shall involve students and teachers to showcase their talents and
maintain the school as a child-friendly school.

V. Rationale:

A child-friendly and talented School motivates students to come to school without any fear
which allows a healthy learning growth for the child.

I. Project Title: "Disciplinary Conversation Programme"

II. Date: September 11, 2021

III. Venue : Bagumbong Elementary School

IV. Background:

According to acaap.org (2014), corporal punishment is a discipline method used to punish a childs
unaccepted and inappropriate attitude by ear twisting, locking in a room, spanking, or tying down and it
was supervised by adults. The goal of this disciplinary method is to correct the misbehavior of a person,
and to teach to be competent and responsible individuals. Punishing children is seen as normal and
accepted in all aspects such as in a domestic setting. However, vikaspdia.in (n.d.) cited that corporal
punishment has an effect to physical, psychological and educational capabilities of a child such as
aggressiveness, poor academic performance, emotional neglect, physical injury, psychological abuse -
depression, low self-esteem, trauma, and phobia. In addition, Gershoff (2002) conducted a seminal
meta-analysis concluding that corporal punishment leads to different gloomy outcomes including the
poor level of moral internalisation and mental health. He also raises that corporal punishment is similar
to physical abuse to extend the difficulty in determining the difference of two. Studies have shown that
6 in 10 children, ages 2 to 14 years old, are involved to corporal punishment (UNICEF, 2014). Specifically,
according to Save the Children Philippines based on their conducted study that Filipino children
experienced 85% at home punishment while 65% received spanking as a form of disciplinary method.

This intervention shall be participated by parents and adults together with their
child/children to fully understand the meaning of discipline and proper way of discipline
method without abuse included.

V. Rationale:

This proposal is intended for the students and parents of Bagumbong Elementary School. It aims
to educate and raise awareness to both parties for a stronger relationship and safer home.

VI. Objectives:

- To educate and raise awareness

- To alleviate and prevent corporal punishment
- To bind and build the relationship between parents and children
- To nurture, enhance and discover the talent and skill of the students.

participate together with their children/child. The parents are involved for the distinct advantages of the

I. Project Title: “Parent-Child and Teacher-Child Relationship”

II. Date: September 20, 2021

III. Venue: Kalayaan Elementary School-Main

IV. Background:

According to Manitoba (2017) A child’s developmental path in their middle childhood years
(between 6 and 12 years of age) contributes substantially to the adolescent, and adult they will become.
This stage is also known as the “stage or reason”. It involves challenging developmental tasks related to
children’s physical development and the onset of puberty, psychological changes in thoughts and
feelings towards parents and adults, and increasing academic demands in preparation for the transition
to high school. (Screen K., 2010). There are different studies showing factors that can influence
academic study of a child such as sex and age, socio-economic factor, emotional stability etc. While the
effect of relationship between child-parent and child-teacher relationship regarding their academic
performance has received minimal research attention but most likely consider as one of those important
things to acknowledge. Since academic performance is an important aspect of functioning for all
children most especially at the late childhood. Research suggests that it is important for children in late
childhood to achieve academically not only to aid their learning as schooling progresses, but also to
reduce the likelihood of a range of short and long-term negative outcomes. The current study
investigated the effect of Child-Parent and Child-Teacher Attachment relationships on academic
performance by completing a battery of assessments measuring: verbal intelligence, language ability,
child-parent attachment, child-teacher attachment, and academic performance.

V. Rationale:

aims to understand children’s relationships and in particular to demonstrate the influence of the child-
parent and child-teacher not just with their academic performance but also for children to begin to
develop their own identity.

VI. Objectives:

- To alleviate and prevent corporal punishment
- To build a positive relationship with both parents and teachers with the child.
- To develop a strong set of increasingly complex skills

that contains several activities like an hour of film watching, eating together, games, art session for the
parents and children to have fun and bond together and letter making for children that will serve as
gratitude and love to their parents. Second is the "kamustahan" between teachers and children to how
