ERP
Enterprise resource planning links different departments and their processors to single computer
software. In the absence of ERP each department would have a system that coordinates functions
related to that department only. With the help of ERP the coordination can take place across the
departments. The system of each department is integrated so that all systems can be accessed
through single software. This not only saves company cost by eliminating redundancy but also
provides a platform to easily analyze information and make better decision. The information
regarding human resource, production, finance and sales can be view on single platform. Ideally
the ERP should be able to integrate all the information starting from supplier to the end customer
but practically it’s difficult to achieve this target. Nevertheless ERP Aid business in many ways
for instance:
 Combine multiple processes in the business environment.
 All the information is stored in a single database.
 Provide real-time information for decision making.

MRP
An automation to estimate the amount raw material required to produce the goods and place the
delivery order. Unlike ERP the MRP has an specific task to accurately calculate what material is
required, the quantity of material and date it is required on. It gives a full list of different
components need to produce the product by the due date.
There are several benefits of having MRP software some of them are listed below:
 Quicker response to consumer orders
 Quickly adapt to market changes
 Increase in the efficiency of labor and productivity
 Less inventory in storage
