 PAUL: Sure

 PETER: what’s a recorder?

 PAUL: It’s an instrument that keeps a record of the measure of a particular

variable.

 PETER: And a Condenser?

 PAUL: It’s a device consisting of two conductors separated by a non-conductor,

sometimes also called a capacitor.

 PETER: I see, and what is the function of a Transmitter?

 PAUL: It sends an electrical signal that is proportional to a process

 PETER: What does a Voltmeter do?

 PAUL: It’s an instrument used for measuring electrical potential difference

between two points in an electric circuit.

 This container is used for releasing gas in the form of small bubbles into the liquid.

 The most common type of pump used in the process industries is the centrifugal pump. In
such a pump, a rotating wheel or disk with vanes on it, called impeller is used to impart
velocity to the liquid.

- El tipo más común de bomba usado en la industria de procesos es la bomba centrifuga.

Tal una bomba, una rueda de rotación o disco con paletas en él, llamado impulsor es

 Positioner is a device used to position a valve with regard to a signal.

 Supply pressure is the pressure at the supply port of a device such as a controller, positioner,
or transducer.

 Electrical transformers are machines that transfer electricity from one circuit to another with
changing voltage level but no frequency change. Today, they are designed to use AC supply,
which means that fluctuation in supply voltage is impacted by the fluctuation in the current.
So, an increase in current will bring about an increase in the voltage and vice versa.
