Roots of numbers: The root of a number X is another number, which when multiplied by itself a given

number of times, equals X. For example, "the third root of 216 is ", this could also be called “the cube
root of 216 is 6”. The second root is called the "square root".

Example

.√ 1=1 since 12=1

√ 2=4 since 22 =4
√ 3=9 since 32=9
√ 4=16 since 4 2=16
√3 1=1 since 13=1
√3 2=8 since 23=8
√3 3=27 since 33=27
√3 4=64 since 4 3=64

The summary is, you multiply X to itself to get a correct answer.

Multiplying Radicals: When multiplying radicals, you simply multiply under the radical. After Multiplying
them you must never forget to simplify the result.

Example:

√ 8 ×3=2 √6
The explanation here is simple, in the start I simply just multiplied 8 with 3 which gave me 24, when you
simplify it √ 4 × 6 which when you simplify it you get 2 √ 6.
