I am writing to recommend Amy Barley as a Graduate Nurse. Amy is currently enrolled at

Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences with a planned graduation date from our professional nursing
program of May 25, 2017.

Amy is a clinical student who recently completed a rotation on the Mental Health Unit at
Lancaster General Hospital as part of our senior level Crisis and Complex Health Problems course. As
part of this course, she also completed training in Critical Care and Advanced Medical/Surgical Nursing.

While on the Mental Health Unit, Amy cared for a variety of mental health patients who required
hospitalization and stabilization. Amy came to clinical well prepared by doing thorough research and used
therapeutic communication to establish trust and rapport with her assigned patients, maintained safety and
conducted individual and group education. Amy did all this with an open, trusting and accepting attitude.
Amy also came to clinical prepared to ask appropriate questions, to work as part of a treatment team and
in the clinical setting she displayed strong clinical skills. I found Amy to be an enthusiastic, hard-working
and dedicated student nurse. Therefore, I can strongly recommend Amy Barley as a Graduate Nurse.
