I will be graduating from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of science in nursing. I
would like to be considered for a registered nursing position at Banner University Medical
Center following my preceptorship. Having had three previous clinical rotations at this hospital I
feel that I will be a great addition to the healthcare team. My positive attitude and determination
align with those of the patient-focused mindset and hard work that I have experienced on the
medical intensive care unit.
I am specifically interested in working in the medical intensive care unit because of the
incredible bond of teamwork that I personally witnessed and took part of during my time on the
unit. I am drawn to the intensive care unit largely due to the strong connections that are built
with the patients and their families. I am confident in my abilities to work efficiently and take
initiative when providing care to patients in critical conditions. Throughout my educational
experiences at the University of Arizona I was well versed in caring for diverse age groups
whom all had various conditions. Throughout those experiences I learned to treat each patient
individually with a level of professionalism and compassion.
In order to better help and understand my patients, I plan on continuing my education after
graduation. I have certainty that this desire to improve my education and thrive in my career will
make me a strong and reliable applicant. I look forward to future meetings to discuss how I could
benefit your organization and the patients at your hospital.
