Dear Kevin Storey:

I am writing in regards to a position on the Trauma ICU unit through the New Nurse Transition Program
at Banner University Medical Center. I will be graduating in May 2018 where I will receive my Bachelor of
Science in Nursing with minors in Spanish and Family Studies & Human Development from the University
of Arizona. I will be completing my degree with Honors distinction. I believe that this strong educational
background coupled with my passion and dedication for this field has prepared me well for my
professional career as an RN in this area.

Throughout my various rotations, I have spent over 400 clinical hours in a high acuity setting. These
experiences have provided me with a solid foundation of skills necessary to face the challenges of the ICU.
Most notably, I was given the incredible opportunity to complete my five-week preceptorship on the
Trauma unit D2W. It was here that I worked closely with nurses whom I truly admire and in an
environment that filled me with excitement.

Outside of school, I currently serve as an intern at the Medication Management Center where I collaborate
with pharmacists to conduct comprehensive medication reviews with patients over the phone. I also
exhibit leadership through my participation in the pre-health honorary Alpha Epsilon Delta, Mortar Board
National Senior Honor, and Honors College Ambassadors. Furthermore, I am involved with outreach for
the local Tucson community as a Hospice volunteer and a camp counselor for underserved youth.

It would be a great privilege to be chosen for a position at Banner University Medical Center. If accepted, I
promise to uphold the values of the hospital and always bring genuine, quality care to patients and their
families.
