It is with great enthusiasm that I submit my application for the Hospital X RN Residency Program. As a
nursing student at The University of Arizona, where we are taught collaborative and team-based connected
care, it is my intention to apply these approaches, along with critical thinking, effective communication,
and efficient time management skills to my career at Hospital X.

I am confident that my clinical experiences at The University of Arizona and the multiple rotations within,
as well as my work in a summer camp infirmary makes me an excellent candidate for the RN New Grad
Residency Program. In addition, I participated in the UCLA Summer Externship Program, where I
enhanced my critical thinking and clinical skills through working in multiple intensive care units,
including the pediatric and cardiothoracic ICUs. Through each of my clinical experiences, I have
developed the skills to provide patient-centered care, as well as to face any challenges head on. Throughout
nursing school, I have applied a strong work ethic to succeed academically at The University of Arizona
and presently hold a 3.547 GPA. I am eager to continue my education through the Hospital X RN
Residency Program.

I strongly believe that my education, ability to think critically in all situations, and motivation to
continuing my learning makes me an excellent candidate for the RN Residency Program. I am extremely
passionate about working in an ICU, and truly believe that the RN Residency Program will allow me to
develop into an exceptional ICU nurse. I have attached my resume, application, and letter of intent for the
