Front of House – Society News
Wow, that really was an
amazing start to 2017. Thank
you to everyone who
supported Aladdin. We had
absolutely brilliant audience
numbers every night and
feedback from the audience
was fantastic. All the cast and
crew had an amazing time and
everyone is already talking
about signing up for next years
show! There will be a DVD of
the panto available in the next
few weeks, watch this space
for more info.
Our next show ‘Situation
Comedy’ will take place from
Thursday 16th to Saturday 18th
March. We really need your
help to promote this show so
please pop along in February
to collect a poster and display
it at your work or your local
shops.
As a committee we are still
finalising arrangements for
next season if you would like
to direct a show or even the
DIRECTORS WORKSHOP SATURDAY 11th FEBRUARY 2017
annual pantomime or if there
is a play you think would suit
us as a Society and appeal to
our audiences please get in
touch with your ideas.
The committee are pleased to
announce that we will be
hosting a Directors Workshop
on Saturday 11th February
from 2-5pm. If you are even a
little bit interested in directing
then this workshop is
definitely for you. We do have
to make a small change for the
workshop £2 for members and
£5 for non-members.
If you run a local business you
may like to promote your
business or service in a
production program; this is a
great way to advertise at
minimal cost. Increasing
audience numbers means
more people than ever before
get to see our programs.
Adverts are priced very
reasonably at £15 per
production or £45 for the
whole season – all adverts are
quarter page adverts. Please
get in touch with the
Treasurer to book your space
for our next production.
Following hot on the heels of
their pantomime success Pete
Mead and Dave Fagan are
setting up a ‘Tea & Jam’
session which will run a
minimum of one Sunday a
month either at St Johns
Church Hall or back at their
place! If you play a musical
instrument or have always
wanted to learn one, are a
seasoned singer or have
always wanted to ‘have a go’
then these sessions will suit
you perfectly. There will be a
small charge to cover hall hire
when sessions take place at
the hall. If you want any more

It would take a genie-us to find out!

Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Aladdin.
Aladdin who?
A lad in the street who wants to come in!

What does a magician like to keep up his sleeve?

His arm!

What kind of pet did Aladdin have?

A flying car-pet!

Why did Aladdin's lamp hum?

Because the genie inside it didn’t know the words!
