6.3 Quality improvement strategies adopted by the institution for each of the following:
Open Book Examinations are conducted in the Important University Questions, so as to make sure
that the students are well aware of the topics and answers, and are thorough in the same.
Every day in the first period the students are made to study a particular subject for 20 min. with the
respective staff clarifying their doubts before the class test.
Continuous assessment enables effective performance of the student. During a semester two
Internal Assessment tests and a Model Exam are conducted, as per the University criteria.
The students are provided with feed-back, individual counseling and guidance on the mistakes they
had committed in the Assessment tests, when the test papers are distributed to them.
Every day from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm special coaching classes are conducted. The students are allowed
to choose and attend the class for the subject they find difficult to understand.
The summary of Internal Assessments, University Marks, and periodical attendance percentage are
sent to the Parents to improve the performance of the students.
Every month the Academic Committee meeting is conducted by the HoDs of the respective
departments with the student members from each year and each class. The feed-back given by the
students on each subject and the faculty is conveyed to the Principal for further corrective measures
to be taken.
The students are split into above average, average, slow learners and they are trained and more
attention is paid to slow learners.
Result Analysis is made based on the University Results of each semester and meeting was conducted
by the AAAC (Academic and Administrative Audit Committee) with all the staff regarding the result
and the measures to be taken to improve it.
Remedial and special coaching classes are conducted after the results of the Internal Assessment test
were declared, especially for the slow learners
A special Doubt Clearance Hour (DCH) was included in the regular time-table every day from
03.30 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.
Revision classes at the last two weeks of every Semester were conducted, when students were allowed
to study the important questions and write test at their individual pace.

turn good career opportunity and innovative research basis. For instance, knowledge of the principle of
working of all the home appliances, Mobile servicing, Automobile
“Gandhian Engineering” concept is inculcated in the students. It aims at “Less Power, More Energy” and
“Economic Innovations”.
Teaching methodology of teaching concepts to be remembered through stories and interesting events or
captions is followed which makes the students learn the concepts in a nutshell.
The Best Student and the Best Staff is identified every month. Their names with photos are displayed in all
the notice boards around the college through-out the month and also in the college website.

It was concluded that all the parents, stake holders, industries having interaction with the institution and
the alumni had one common opinion and demand regarding the past status of the institutions.
They opined that as many of the students had been from rural areas and also from Tamil medium schools
the students find it very difficult to understand better so as to update themselves in Technical knowledge,
industry oriented skills and communication skills.
Thus they all had suggested the college to concentrate more on developing the same.
