Dr Abhinav Gupta did his MBBS from esteemed AFMC Pune in 1998 with Gold medal . He pursued his specialization in Neuro
surgery from Sir Gangaram Hospital (SGRH) New Delhi. He completed his Neurosurgery training in 2006 and cleared
prestigious National Board exam with flying colours. He did his post doctoral training in Microneurosurgery from NIMHANS
Bangalore, where he honed his microsurgical skills in Neurovascular surgery and started clipping aneurysms.

Endeavour for knowledge took him to University of Chicago, USA, where he did fellowship in Minimally Invasive Spine
Surgery (MISS). He did extensive training in there and brought with him a new era of Endoscopic surgery to India.
He joined as Specialist/Asst. Professor in the Dept. of Neuro surgery at LNJP hospital, where he worked for more than a year and
operated more than 500 Neuro and Spine cases by MIS techniques. He further moved to Max hospital as Consultant in 2008 and
for next two years further honed his skills on “Brain Suite” where the machine ie. Advanced intra-operative MRI based image
guidance system amalgamates with the fine microsurgical skills of the neurosurgeon.

As a visionary, he saw ushering in of Neuroradiology and Intervention therefore he went for advanced Fellowship in
Interventional Neuroradiology from Univ of Zurich, Switzerland in 2010.With his newly acquired skills he became one of the
few neurosurgeons who can ideally decide and deliver results in all kind of neurovascular procedures. He presently perform
interventions in neurology for Stroke treatment, Aneurysm coiling, Tumor embolisation, Brain and Spine AVMs and various
other neurological disorders.

Pain management is another of his forte. The patients who have been advised surgery for their back symptoms have been cured
by Dr Gupta’s by simple injections, medicines and life style modification. A schedule of special back strengthening exercises is
also taught which has led to innumerable avoided surgeries. Dr Gupta specializes in Endoscopic Brain and Spine surgery.
Percutaneous Lumbar Endoscopic Discectomy (PLED) performed by him has made spine surgery a day care procedure. This
makes his patients happy as he can go back to work early.
