Title: Installation of CCTV Cameras in the School Campus

Rationale:

Increasing incidents of negligence and crime violating the innocence of

students have raised numerous doubts and question in the mind of every
teachers, responsible citizens, and even parents. In this regard, we have to admit
that this is due to our incapability of being vigilant and in keeping an eye out for
all the vandalisms, anomalies, violence, anti-social behavior and unwanted visitors
inside our school premises, if there are any.
According to Indicators of School Crime and Safety, one of the reasons why
the school violence is a many-faceted problem is because of the lack in
monitoring. Due to this flaws, numerous were engaged and will soon be engaging
in hooliganism and lot more problems.
Withal, installation of CCTV cameras placed strategically on selected areas
of the school will be a convenient safeguarding method. It can mold disciplines of
every students, deterred thieves from attempting crimes and even ensuring the
safety of every individual. More so, monitoring and checking outside school
grounds will also become much easier.
Having these in mind, the SSG officers is on its way of engaging in this simple but
effective weapon to create a perfect balance between ensuring safety and to
deter the evils.

Objectives:
This activity aims the following:
1. To reduce the crimes, violence, intruders and offenders
2. To strengthen the safety and security in the school premises
3. To monitor students’ and teachers behaviors
4. To easily achieve discipline and;
5. To protect the building the infrastructure asset and learning tools (e.g
classroom TV and computers)

Risk Management Plan:

The SSG officers seeking to install CCTV cameras must obtain prior approval
from the school principal and security services. The information package
containing the guidelines for the installation of the camera systems will be
considered. School demands, policies, procedures, and monitoring equipment
needed will be complied beforehand to ensure that the plan of installing cameras
will satisfies such requirements like: those cameras must not be used for bad
intentions and it should not be placed in private locations such as toilets.
