PROJECT PROPOSAL

Title: ENHANCING SCHOOL BELL SYSTEM

Proponent: Supreme Students Government
Proposed date: June 10, 2016
Proposed Destination: San Jose National High School positioned at the top of TLE
Canteen
Rationale:
Supreme Students Government finds a need to replace an improvised bell that is
used in San Jose National High School. Though the current bell is functioning, its sound is
not enough to be heard through the entire school and concluded to be somehow useless
at some area of the grounds.
This school project is an automated bell with the use of two (2) loudspeaker horns
and an amplifier from the former sound system that will suit enough to the school length.
It is set to ring every hour based on the class schedule that the school follows. The
bell is powered by a 12 volt Solar Energy Gel Battery to ensure that it will function even in
case of power interruption which undoubtedly the province is commonly experiencing.

Objectives:
The project aims to:
1. Prioritize Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
2. Increase awareness for the entire school as it rings every hour based on the
class schedule
3. Serve as a warning signal in case of emergencies and practice drills.
4. Promote the use of solar energy thus minimizing the consumption of
electricity.
