    Removal and Installation

    1. Remove the engine upper cover.

    2. Remove the air cleaner outlet hose.


     Detach the air cleaner outlet hose clamps.
     Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose quick release coupling.

    3. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

    1 - Mass air flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector
    2 - Air cleaner quick release retainer

    4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    NOTE:Make sure that the inside of the air cleaner outlet hose is clean and free from any oil residue, as this will reduce the installation grip of the
    hose to the air cleaner and intake manifold.
    NOTE:Make sure the PCV hose and quick release coupling are clean and free from any oil residue.

    1. Detach the air cleaner quick release retainer from the air cleaner.

    NOTE:Make sure the two locating pegs on the air cleaner are located into the rubber grommets on the support bracket.
