spaces. Depending on the situation, they may accomplish this goal in many ways. Here are

Have many years experience working in the Interior Design or Architecture field
Care deeply about how culture, productivity and workspaces intersect
Have proficiency with current design tools (including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud
and Bluebeam)
Thrive on change and be comfortable with doing things unconventionally
Have strong opinions, weakly held
Be extremely organized with great prioritization skills
Have amazing communication skills (written and verbal)
Be able to see both the big picture and have an eye for details (see both the forest
and the trees)

Other relevant experience:

Have experience in Graphic Design or Industrial Design

Have experience programming spaces meant for 500+ people
Have experience scaling design standards and language across international
locations
Have experience building relationships across many time zones

You’ll be working on things like:

User experience research - understanding and then advocating for the end user (our
employees) is a core piece of this role
Preparing mock ups or models (physical or digital) for small projects
Content creation and sometimes execution (murals, signage, installations, etc.)
Functional programming for our space
Selecting furniture and finishes
Meeting with architects and construction team several times per week
Building and maintaining great relationships with various internal stakeholders (IT, AV,
Internal Solutions, Leadership, Culture etc.)
Gathering consensus among stakeholders with differing views
Supporting the design process for new Shopify offices across the globe (travel might
be required)
