LABORATORY RESEARCH

Research for latest technology about flight instruments and how it will affect the current

aviation. Be guided by the Assessment Rubric for writing research paper.

Many of the information-based technologies that could enable major changes

to the air transportation system, such as the Global Positioning System (GPS), air-

ground datalinks, automatic dependent surveillance (ADS), synthetic vision, and

pilot and controller decision aids, have already been developed. However, because

of the complex interactions between economic, political, sociological, and

technological forces in the air transportation system, it has been extremely difficult

to predict the impact of new technologies or changes in operational procedures on

operations and safety. Consequently, there is a strong tendency within the system to
maintain the status quo, and new technologies or operating procedures have been

limited to incremental improvements.

There’s a lot technology that invent this past years but this is the latest

technology about instruments of aircraft. As AEA 2019 new products are G3X

Touch Flight Display is approved for installation in 500 single engine piston

aircraft models and the features standard wireless connectivity and synthetic

vision. IFR HeliSAS Stability Augmentation System is a autopilot system for

legacy part 29 twin engine helicopters. It is designed for two axis (pitch and roll)

autopilot configuration for dual-pilot IFR generations and the three axis (pitch, roll

and yaw) autopilot configuration for single pilot operation, the system includes

automatic recovery to near level flight altitude at all airspeed and full authority

control with parallel actuators. Aeropoint 300 Engine Data Monitor is new

engine data monitoring system for twin engine aircraft. Standard features include

trend charting software, data recording of all engine parameters and a USB

memory stick with 1GB of recording capacity. And the latest aircraft of BOIENG

777X that has new features new GE9X engines, new composite wings with folding

wingtips when it take off the wingtips will bend slightly and it’s also know the first

successful auto pilot take off aircraft of BOIENG.
