This Walkthrough Guide document is meant as a help and to assist the user through a process
for reprogramming and/or diagnostics with the use of the OEM software. The content of this
document may change at any time. Any documentation provided by the OEM supersedes the
content of this document.

Go to https://techinfo.honda.com. Locate “ServiceExpress” and click on “Subscribe”

Click “HDS Standard Diagnostic Software” and choose your desired subscription.

Log into your Honda account. If you do not have a Honda account, you will need to
create one to purchase the subscription.

Click the “Buy Now” button. Follow all on screen instructions to complete your purchase.

Fill out all information and click “continue checkout”, and agree to all terms and conditions.

Fill out your payment information and click “Pay Now”.

Follow the instructions on the bottom of the confirmation page to download iHDS. Save
the installer file to your desktop for installation.

Locate the setup icon on the desktop once the download is complete and “double-click”
it to start the installation. Follow all the on-screen instruction. Except all the default
installation locations.

Once the installation of the program is finished, you should see the iHDS manager icon
in your computers system tray. Double click this icon to open the iHDS manager
program.

Follow the instructions to update and install all of the Honda software.

A new Honda Download Manager Progress window will open, allow this process to finish.
This Process will take some time. Be patient. This window will show any new version,
along with any installed versions.
Once the download is complete the installation will begin automatically. Follow all the on-
screen instructions to complete the program installation.

Honda Reprogramming (pg. 11-17)

Once the installation is complete you should see the above icon on your desktop. Double
click the “iHDS” icon to open the software.

When the Honda Launch Pad opens, select your Drew Technologies device, then click
start.

When iHDS opens, select J2534 Rewrite.

If you have a related TSB enter it here, otherwise click “Start”.

Click “Start” on the ECU Programming screen.

Click “Next”. This is showing the Honda database you have installed on your PC.

Follow the instructions and click “Next”. The software will automatically connect
to the vehicle and show any modules that have updates available.

Select the system you wish to update then click “Select”.

The next screen shows your current calibration and the updated calibration and
may also give a description of the update. Click “Enter” to begin the process.

Follow the program instructions.

The programming process can take 15 to 45 minutes.

Once programming is complete follow the on-screen instructions through the next
screens.

Once the programming is complete choose “Exit”.

Clear all codes with your scan tool and road test the vehicle.
