2. Industry oriented academic activity should be encouraged. If the academic activity is organization
based, please specify the organization with respect to the assignment. Absolute theoretical
academic assignments, which involve only copying from the books, should be discouraged.

specified in the assignment plans itself.

GUIDELINES
1. Students are required to conduct a qualitative research on at least 10 customers from the
service sector assigned specifically to them.

2. It is mandatory to make a questionnaire containing at least 20 questions covering almost


every aspect of that service and get it filled by the relevant respondents.

3. Critically analyze the problems thus found.

4. Give realistic solutions to the problems thus found to bridge the gap between the actual
and expected service.

5. It would be appreciated on the part of student to visit the particular service provider and
try to investigate what steps they are taking to meet customer expectations. Interview of
the concerned service provider in recorded form or the visiting card can be
produced to increase the relevance and credibility of the study conducted.
