First of all, collect the cuttings from mother plants.
About US
Mother plants should be good in condition.

Each of the healthy green cuttings cuts into half-

meter. All of cuttings store in a dry place for a week
before potting into free-draining mixing.

They are placed under shade with minimal water for

root development.
The growing speed with care is same either short or
long cutting. Cuttings can growth 1.2 inches per
days. There is no different between short and long
cutting. A good cutting can give fruit in within 6
months. Usually, most of them can give fruit in
within 9 months.

While the roots have developed, they can adapt sun-

hardened and a weak foliar fertilizer applied until
shoots develop. Thus, they are planted out onto well-

Sweetness of a fruit is one of the debating issues in fruit farming. Normally we mean sweet
is on a measurement of Sucrose (C12H22O11), which is a combined molecule of 1 glucose and
1 fructose. However on analysis of Dragon Fruit (Pitaya), it does not contain of sucrose.

(Sucrose = 0%, Glucose = 5%, Fructose = 3%, and Sorbitol = 0.3%).

A 3 % of fructose is far more sweeter than 3% of sucrose.

Sugar Refractometer measure the refractive index (RI) as we call it sugar content or BRIX.
As our measurement on Dragon Fruit, we normally get the BRIX of 12 to 19.
