Introduction
Nishat Mills Limited is the flagship company of Nishat Group. It was established in 1951. It is one of the
most modern, largest vertically integrated textile companies in Pakistan. Nishat Mills Limited has
238,032 spindles, 794 Toyota air jet looms. The Company also has the most modern textile dyeing and
processing units, two stitching units for home textile, two stitching units for garments and Power
Generation facilities with a capacity of 130 MW. The Company’s total export for the year 2018 was Rs.
38.862 billion (US$ 353.03 million). Due to the application of prudent management policies,
consolidation of operations, a strong balance sheet and an effective marketing strategy, the growth
trend is expected to continue in the years to come. The Company’s production facilities comprise of
spinning, weaving, processing, stitching and power generation. Nishat Mills Limited has a plethora of
associated companies, which include D.G Khan Cement Limited, MCB Bank Limited and Adamjee
Insurance Limited.

To provide quality products to customers and explore new markets to promote/expand sales of the
Company through good governance and foster a sound and dynamic team, so as to achieve optimum
prices of products of the Company for sustainable and equitable growth and prosperity of the Company.

Vision Statement

To transform the Company into a modern and dynamic yarn, cloth and processed cloth and finished
product manufacturing Company that is fully equipped to play a meaningful role on sustainable basis in

Pakistan.

History
In 1951, Nishat Mills was founded by Mian Mohammad Yahya. He started his work from a cotton export
house which then led to multiple branches like ginning, jute textile, insurance and chemicals. Today, the
chairman of Nishat Mills Limited is Mian Muhammad Mansha. Nishat Mills Limited started as a
partnership company at first and later converted into a private limited company when they sold their
shares in the Karachi stock exchange. In 1961 Nishat Mills Limited was listed on Karachi Stock Exchange,
in 1989 the company got listed on Lahore stock exchange and then in 1992 it got listed on Islamabad
stock exchange. Now the company has grown into an export-oriented organization in which most of its
products are exported to Europe and United States. The company has two textile divisions in Faisalabad
and Chunian. Faisalabad covers the land of 98 acre and has the production process of weaving, spinning,
processing, stitching and power generation.

Products and Services

 Spinning

Nishat Mills spinning division has over 227,640 spindles, which are operationally organized into 8
spinning units. The entire machinery is from world renowned manufactures. All yams made at Nishat are
ring spun suitable for both knitting and weaving.

 Weaving

Nishat Mills weaving division has 789 modern Air jet looms which produce approximate 11.3 million
meters of fabric per month which makes it the biggest weaving facility of Pakistan catering to home
textile and apparel fabrics.

 Processing

Nishat Mills processing facility is one of the largest and modern factories of Pakistan. With an array of
custom-made machinery, it has the capacity to produce 104 million meters of fabric per annum. It is
specially designed to handle heavy weight fabrics like twills, drills, canvases and poplins.

 Home Textile

With an array of 939 modern new generation sewing machines the Home textile division consists of two
stitching facilities. The two facilities combined have an average production capacity of approximately 24
million meters per annum. The product line is customized to manufacture products of various styles and
sizes according to the requirements of customers, wholesalers, retailers and contract textile business.

 Garments

Nishat Mills has a state-of-the-art garment manufacturing facility both for men and women. The apparel
division has developed 1767 high end sewing machines such as Vibe Mac, Juki, Mitsubishi and brother.
The division has the capacity to produce 7.2 million garments per annum.
  Power Generation

Nishat Mills has established a modern, highly reliable and extremely efficient captive cogeneration
power plant to cater in house energy requirements at all spinning, weaving, processing, stitching and
apparel units.
