“Communication as a Process”

What is communication? How does communication works? And what are the process
of communication? In this essay I’ll try to answer this questions using my own
knowledge.

To my knowledge, Communication is the process of transmitting information from

one person to another to create a shared understanding and feelings. Communication
also refers to two way process of conveying informations, ideas, feelings or opinions
between two or more persons either Verbally or Non-Verbally, using a medium.
Communication is really important to all of us because this is the thing the we
primarily use for us to understand each other. And also because of communication we
can express our feelings and emotions towards to other persons.

How does communication works? And what is the process of communication?

Communication process works start with the Communicator or the Sender who has
something to communicate with others. Then after the sender Encode the message by
selecting the language in which the receiver can correctly understand it can be
speaking, writing, facial expression, gestures, posture, etc. Then after that is the
Message is the main element of the entire communication process. Next step is the
Channel which can be face to face communication, Telephone conversation, video
calling, email, Sms, etc. Next process is the Receiver the person to whom the
message is directed that is to whom the sender wants to communicate. The next step is
Decoding which involves interpretation of the message by the receiver after decoding
the message the receiver will reward back to the sender in the form of Feedback, it is
the most essential part of the process as it indicates that there is no distortion of the
message. That is how communication process works it is very important that we know
this kind of process for us to avoid misunderstanding of each other.
