There will be a table by the door that will hold any materials needed by the students for the

day.
It will also serve as a spot for absent work that absent students can easily access. Being an
English classroom, I would love to include a reading corner. This will be placed in a corner
that is a good distance from the door for quiet reading. On the other side of that will be a second
table where students will turn in work. This table will be located next to the teacher
desk so I can keep an eye on it. The table will also hold student supplies, such as, tissues, tape
dispensers, staplers, personal whiteboards, and markers. Bulletin boards will hang in accessible
areas that will contain useful information, grades, student worth, and more. An open shelf of
class textbooks and other materials, possibly class binders, will be in the front corner next to a
locked storage. Both are accessible and may not be used as often, so I felt like it was a good
place for them. Lastly, the desks will be placed in groups of four to support the use of
collaborative groups. There should be enough walking space and it should also be easy for the
students to view the board and instructional area.
