My project consists of three separate sections. The first includes the opening day of the
project which will be detailed in an Inquiry-based lesson plan in the Appendix, followed by
student lled scientific research about human emotions for Day 2 and Day 3. The second section
will center around Romeo and Juliet where students will look at predetermined sets of
relationships from Shakespeare's characters. They will analyze these characters' emotional
relationships and their implications. This will span for the following three days, more details
provided in a calendar in Table 1. The final section begins on Day 7 where students will take on
the role of scientists, doctors, or podcast hosts sharing their new research with an audience. Day

The Agua Fria High School District provides every one of their students with a
Chromebook, so I took advantage of that. In my project, students will complete exit tickets,
checks for understanding (Pear Deck, Padlet), create charts (GoogleDocs) which they can share
with their peers using the share option. Students will also be able to create their presentation of
In order to continue the topic of emotional awareness, I might think about incorporating a
clause relating to it in the social contract for my classroom. My students have gained new
knowledge and I want them to be held accountable and reminded of this, it will help their future
as adults within society. Seeing other teachers implement emotional intelligence and awareness
With moving forward, this project makes it possible to continue looking for ways to
change the way students learn. This will hopefully inspire students to actively create questions
and then look for ways to answer them on their own. They will have learned new ways of
solving problems and will be able to apply that in other areas. Eventually, I will be able to offer
more one-on-one support to those that need it if the previous takes place.
