For my classroom project I will need every student to have access to a laptop.

From what I know,

most high schools now provide students Chromebooks that they keep for the whole year. If this

is not the case, my hope is that the library will have a class set that I could borrow for the

duration of the project. These laptops will be used for the reading of the texts in class that the

students will analyze for use of emotion, recording either their podcasts or “YouTube” videos,

and researching the project’s topic. I would like to have a PearDeck account as a form of

assessment at the end of the day. I will use this to send quick check-in questions to my students

and see a real time summary of their answers. The students will also need a class set of spiral

notebooks. This will be used to create a daily tracker chart of emotions for the two weeks that we

are working on the project. The students will make quick notes of how their day went along with

the emotions they experienced. This will help them become aware of all the emotions and give

them insight as to how they handle them or any effects. Colored markers and colored paper will

be used to create an emotions wheel. This wheel will be used for the top eight emotions chosen

by the class as a whole from the list brainstormed on a previous day. It will contain the eight

emotions plus their descriptors that the students will have observed after their peers present their

emotions skit. Lastly, I thought it would be nice to have an arrangement of snacks for the last day

of the project. Students will be presenting to their parents and afterwards we can host parents for

a nice social.
