Selection of Grantees
Beneficiaries of Junior high school and college scholarship programs live in poor or slum
communities located near enough to the school campuses that they can walk to and from
school. Usually only fathers of the beneficiaries are employed, with jobs such as seasonal
construction workers, tricycle drivers, jeepney drivers, farmers or fishball, fruits, fish,
vegetables vendors.
Mothers of the beneficiaries are usually housewives who stay at home taking care of younger
children and Mothers who have some source of income obtain it from doing odd jobs such as
washing clothes, doing manicures/pedicures or market vendors who accompany their husbands
selling assorted products. Some households have small “sari-sari” stores which serves as the
families’ primary source of income.
Scholarship Grants
Foundation staff and designated members of selection committees established for such awards
shall contact high school and college administrators as well as managers of other relevant
community institutions to advertise the availability of the Foundation's Scholarship Grants and
to request that these administrators nominate potential candidates or encourage potential
awardees to submit applications for scholarship aid.
Selection Criteria
Criteria for scholarship grants may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Must be a Filipino
Must be students living poor communities
Must be 12-15 years old for 1st year Junior high school
Must be a graduate of 6th grade from a public school
Must have average grade of 85 above
Written Entrance Exam
Verbal One on One Interview
Home Visitation
College:
Fourth year or Grade 12 high school graduates from schools in the area covered who are Grade
10 finishers from public high school
General weighted average grade of at least 88% or its equivalent in:
a. Fourth year-2nd or 3rd grading period
b. Grade 12-1st semester
c. Total household income of at most P150,000 per year
Recordkeeping Requirements
The Foundation shall retain the following records in connection with all grants covered by this
policy:
1. The Grantee shall submit to the Grantor a certified true copy of the school assessment
form/statement of account as basis of payment by the Grantor.
2. The Grantee shall not drop a subject or to shift course without prior written approval by
the Grantor.
3. The Grantee shall maintain a general average of at least 88% or its equivalent, and
should not receive an “incomplete”, “conditional”, or “failing” mark in any subject.
Failure to comply with this condition shall result in his scholarship grant being
suspended in the succeeding semester or school year.
4. The Grantee shall be law-abiding and shall not be the subject of any disciplinary action
in or out of school.
5. The Grantee shall submit to the Grantor a certified true copy of his/her grades in the
preceding semester/school year. Failure to do so shall be ground for termination of the
scholarship grant
6. Submission of falsified or tampered documents by the Grantee shall automatically and
permanently disqualify from the program.
7. The Grantor reserves the right to terminate the scholarship grant at any time if the
Grantee is held liable for grave misconduct in the institution or school where he is
enrolled; or in case of violation of any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
8. The Grantor shall have the right to terminate or withdraw scholarship grant to the
Grantee at any time for lack of funds.

In consideration of your providing tuition to the above named student, I/we accept
responsibility for payment of the tuition fee set out above and agree to pay the said fee in full
within 30 days of invoice date. Failure to pay the tuition fee as requested will result in the
cancellation of the sponsor's invoice and re-invoice to the student. In the event of the employer
being a limited company, I confirm that I am authorized by my employer to enter into this
contract.
