Conquer Covid-19

Uncertainty is all around us, never more so than today. The current COVID-19 pandemic has
heightened uncertainty over the economy, employment, finances, relationships, and of course,
physical and mental health.

As the coronavirus outbreak has shown, life can change very quickly and very unpredictably.
For me and my family, ever since the lockdown has started, drinking more water, eating healthy
foods, and taking vitamins has become part of our daily routine. In addition, when one of us
goes outside the house to do groceries or other important agendas, we make sure that that
family member of ours is fully equipped with personal protective equipment such as face mask,
face shield, and disinfecting alcohol in hand. We also implement that they should not enter our
house unless they have already washed with soap, exposed parts of their body and changing
clothes.

Moreover, we don’t accept visitors and we don’t go out as much as we used to.Pre-pandemic,
you can observe that visitors come to our house from time to time because that’s how we really
live. We are very welcoming to our relatives and friends who come to visit us but with strict
compliance with health protocols, we won’t be able to meet our visitors for the time being.

Strangely, as much as I miss my friends, I have not been contacting them as much as I thought
I would. A huge part of our friendship was seeing each other often and having many
opportunities to joke around. Since being in a lockdown, instead of talking with my friends a lot, I
have been having more alone time. This has given plenty of time to be more hands on with my
small business and continue to improve and promote it but while staying at home allows me to
have more time for myself, it takes away a lot of the social aspects of my life.

Whenever I feel down in the middle of this pandemic, I just read my favorite inspirational books
written by Joena San Diego. Magically, it lights up my mood and gives me the motivation I need
to keep on being productive and do what makes me happy. Ever since, I am not the type of
person who shares my burdens to other people, especially to my family and friends. It’s not
because I don’t trust them. I just don’t feel the need to share it because the moment I pray about
it, my worries are gone and I’m back to normal.

The pandemic is a stressful situation for anyone to contend with. Everything is up in the air and
there’s no answer to when things will return to normal. Yes, we’re all different in how much
uncertainty we can tolerate in life but if you feel overwhelmed by uncertainty and worry, it’s
important to know that you’re not alone; many of us are in the same boat at this time. My advice
to others is that it’s important to remember that during this time, we are all sacrificing something
so that we can all heal sooner.
