“My Role in our Home and Society in time of Pandemic”

We all know the effects of this Pandemic had on the world economy as well as how
people function in society. This Pandemic has caused difficulties to everyone,
affecting our lifestyle, school and how we interact with other people. In other words
being a young person i need to be a role model to the people whose in need in our
home and to the society, being a role model we need to follow all the rules and
protocols against the pandemic , we must understand mental health by understanding
the reality component of the pandemic so that we are not overly critical of ourselves.
So instead of sitting and do nothing, what if we do something that can help us not just
for ourselves but to our family and society also.

Here are some protocols that we need to follow, First we need to clean our hands
with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water, this eliminates
germs including viruses that may be on your hands. Avoid touching our eyes, nose
and mouth. Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated,
hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can
enter your body and infect you. Cover our mouth and nose with our bent elbow or
tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately into a
closed bin and wash your hands. If we want to leave our house we must wear a face
mask. By following good ‘respiratory hygiene’, you can protect the people around
you from viruses, which cause colds, flu and COVID-19.

Now that I’m able to think more clearly, I can see that quarantine is really a special
opportunity in some ways. When was I ever gonna have quality time like this with my
parents and siblings again? It means so much to me to have this time to spend with
them I’m comfortable here, around people I love, and frankly I’ve always been
socially anxious so it’s pretty nice to not have any expectations on me to go out.

“In some ways, this isolation really bad. We all know this. But I’ve found that it’s an
unbelievable opportunity too at this time in my life to really sit down and think
through things I haven’t had the time to, to appreciate my family and the friends I’ve
made, and most of all appreciate that I’m so unbelievably lucky to be in the position I
am in. I am happy to be home in a safe place with my family who loves each other, I
miss school. I have friends I miss every second, and I’m comfortable with where I am
and with myself.

I hope this pandemic will be over soon and everything could be normal again. For
now, the best thing that we could do is to stay at home and stay healthy. Stay safe
guys!
