The "Will of a River" by Alfredo Q. Gonzales, tells about the life of man on earth. The river is
likened to a person's life. First we cannot deny that in life we face many trials, problems and hardships.
Sometimes these situations are considered negative in a person. There are many hindrances and
obstacles that the person to be faceoff. How are they dealing with it? The person must have patience
and enough strength to face the challenges in life. There are some individual who easily get discouraged
and don’t want to continue their life. They give up easily or without trying, but there are some individual
who persevere and do not easily lose faith, like the river. Second it also speaks of determination to reach
the goals of life. If we cannot overcome the difficulties, we can under come them as expressed by the
author. Be optimistic to reach your goal and possess an outlook in life not in negative way but in hope.
Being an optimistic is to reach your goal and your outlook in life must not be one in hopelessness but full
of hope. When we experience hardships in life or when things get tough, we must not quit. Just stick to
the fight.

WILL is the person life that the reality in our journey we face some difficulties. But it’s up in our
WILL to reach the goals in life. It is like a mountain, where the river flows its strength from to be able to
continues, human has God. Like a mountain, big and high, God is the source of strength, hope, and the
courage of man to go on with and stick to his fight. Only that man has neither to trust and believe that
God will make him to move on and will help him, never to desert nor to forsake. River is telling to a
person’s life that whatever it takes you need to flow and not to be stock up or stagnant water, that will
develop you to grow more in life. Boulders is like a trials that can block your way to flow according to
your will. Sea is like the end of your journey that in the will of life there’s always an ending.

River tells the person’s life that has needed to be happy in his/her journey in life. Whether
there’s a boulder that can give difficulties or sadness in life. Then sea that can represent the final
destination of human being that can be sorrowful. As we all know that when someone die in our family
or loved ones, we usually feel being sorrow or mourn. Then the last Mountain which represents the
hope or the satisfaction of happiness
