WOMEN’S MOVEMENT 2

The goals of the feminist movement in the 1970s

The Feminist movement in the 1970s had a lot of significance to the lives of women.

The campaign created educational opportunities for women, which was a significant change

in their lives. The movement had three goals; create equal opportunity for women, freedom

for women, and let women have control over their lives (Valiente, 2019).

Reason for an increase of interest of the Feminist Movement

Gaining support from people was too hard for an ordinary person, and women saw

that they needed the right o take part in the voting process. Their need for freedom and

expression were some of the reasons their interests increased. The decrease of sex

discrimination indicated they could push more for their rights.

The historical significance of The Feminist Mystique

Through this document, The Feminist Mystique, a new ground was broken through

sightseeing the idea of women discovering their fulfillment beyond the traditional roles of

being a wife, mothers, and housewives.

What is most surprising

“the problem with no name” (Friedan et al., 2013) as used in the book is quite

remarkable as it refers to women’s condition in society, a group of people who are bored with

buying products, with children, with their homes, and leisure. Yet to some extent, women at

this age were somewhat playing a part in the history of the states.
