NAME Feminism-women’s rights movement
HYPOTHESIS Active promotion of feminism and the fight for women's
rights will lead to an improvement in the status of women in
society, providing them with greater opportunities and an
enhanced social standing, ultimately contributing to a more
just and equal position for women.

AIM Does the advancement of feminism lead to measurable

improvements in gender equality, both socially and
economically, and if so, what are the key indicators of
progress?

OBJECTIVITIES Objective 1: Analyze the historical development and key

milestones of feminist movements.
Objective 2: Investigate the impact of feminism on political,
legal, and economic systems.
Objective 3: Examine the influence of feminism on societal
and cultural changes.
Objective 4: Explore the global perspective of feminism and
its role in addressing intersectional issues.
Objective 5: Identify contemporary challenges and debates
within the feminist movement.
Objective 6: Draw conclusions and make recommendations
based on research findings.

PROCESS AND Process:

METHODS Stage 1: Choosing the Topic and Preliminary Research
We chose feminism as our topic and started our preliminary
investigation by watching various videos about feminism,
historical overviews of its emergence, and documentaries
dedicated to this theme.
Stage 2: Analyzing Sources and Exploring Views
We diligently searched for and studied numerous sources to
understand the diverse views on feminism. We read works by
prominent individuals and explored the opinions of ordinary
people, including students from SDU.
Stage 3: Conducting a Survey
We designed and conducted a survey among SDU students to
gather their opinions and views on feminism. This helped us
better understand how the younger generation perceives this
topic.
Stage 4: Watching Social Videos and Experiments
We also watched a variety of social videos and hidden
camera experiments to see how people react to different
situations related to gender stereotypes and discrimination.
Stage 5: Analyzing the Collected Information
After gathering all the necessary information, we moved on
to its analysis. We aimed to identify common trends and
understand how different sources and video materials
influence the perception of feminism.
Stage 6: Formulating Conclusions
Based on our analysis, we formulated conclusions regarding
the researched topic, summarized the acquired knowledge,
and determined how it could be useful for further promotion
of gender equality.

This process allowed us to delve deeper into the topic of

feminism, understand various points of view, and form our
own well-founded stance on this issue.

Methods:
1) Within the scope of this report, we have examined the film
"Mona Lisa Smile,"which was released in 2003 and directed
by Mike Newell. The film "Mona Lisa Smile" embodies
feminist ideas, exploring the role of women and their
aspirations in the conservative society of the 1950s. The main
character, Katherine Watson, encourages her students to
pursue independence and self-realization, as well as to
question the traditional roles imposed on them by society.
The film underscores the importance of education and self-
expression for women, which is a key aspect of feminism.
Also emphasizes the significance of feminist ideas and
demonstrates that women can overcome socio-cultural
barriers and strive for self-realization regardless of
circumstances and time.

2) We also developed and created a survey among the

students of our university to understand the views of our
peers on feminism.

3) In the video content provided below, feminist experts share
their personal stories: they discuss their journey to feminism,
the life challenges they have overcome, and their
experiences. They explain why feminism is necessary in the
modern world and emphasize its importance for achieving
gender equality and emancipation.

FINDINGS According to the survey results, an overwhelming majority of
respondents recognize feminism predominantly as a
movement for women's rights (99.9%), which confirms its
significance and necessity. Nevertheless, only a minority
(40.9%) fully identify themselves with feminism, while a
significant portion (31.8%) support it with reservations, and
27.3% do not associate themselves with the movement,
which may indicate the presence of stereotypes or
misunderstandings.
More than half of the respondents (59.1%) have a positive
attitude towards feminism, emphasizing its role in social
progress. Issues regarding the upbringing of girls and the
influence of feminism on them are almost evenly split among
those surveyed, with a slight advantage for a positive
perception (40.9% against 36.4%).
The importance of combating violence against women is
emphasized by 50% of participants, and the right of women
not to have children and not to create a family is supported
by 63.6%, reflecting a trend towards individual self-
determination.
As for personal relationships, the majority of men (36.4%)
support the feminist views of their partners, although there
are also opposing opinions (about 10%). However, a large
part (77.3%) is not ready to actively engage in feminist
activities, raising questions about motivation and
participation.
Regarding the patriarchy, opinions are divided: just under
half (47.6%) believe its aspects are important to preserve,
while 19% see the patriarchy as something outdated.
Overall, while feminism is recognized as important, society
faces obstacles on the path to its full realization and support,
requiring further dialogue and education.
CONCLUSION After conducting our research on the topic of feminism, we
have identified several key findings that reflect our
understanding and attitude towards this issue. Feminism
remains highly pertinent today, advocating for women's
rights to autonomy, career fulfillment, and equal potential as
men. It is central to advancing gender equality and
dismantling societal barriers that hinder women's full
potential realization. Through varied methodologies,
including video analysis and surveys, we've gained a broader
understanding of feminism's diverse viewpoints and the need
for ongoing education and dialogue.
We found that despite significant progress in the field of
gender equality, there are still many stereotypes and
prejudices that prevent women from fully realizing their
potential. Therefore, the work to overcome these barriers and
promote the ideals of equality must continue. In conclusion,
we believe that promoting the ideals of feminism contributes
to the creation of a more just and harmonious society, where
every person has equal opportunities to realize their potential.
OFFERS,PROPOSAL We would like to share a series of proposals aimed at
S spreading the ideals of feminism and protecting women's
rights in all spheres of life. In our opinion, it is important to
begin acquainting individuals with the principles of feminism
from school age, by introducing special lessons for girls
where they can learn about their rights and understand that
their opportunities in life are not limited by their gender.
From an early age, in both educational processes and family
upbringing, they are often imposed with outdated standards
of behavior, being encouraged to be obedient and modest, to
submit to a future husband. We believe it is necessary to
transform these mores, starting with conversations at the
family dinner table.
In the upbringing of boys, a special emphasis should also be
placed on equality: they should be constantly reminded that
they do not surpass girls and that all activities are allowed
without division into "boys' " and "girls' " tasks. The main
goal is to instill from childhood that being a girl does not
mean living within imposed limitations. We also consider it
important to emphasize that the root of many problems lies in
the patriarchy. One of the most significant distortions that
patriarchal culture introduces into upbringing is the neglect
of emotional labor, which is traditionally considered a
"woman's duty." From an early age, boys are often not taught
the value of emotional labor and the importance of
developing emotional intelligence. However, in healthy and
harmonious relationships, both partners should share the
responsibility for emotional well-being and possess skills for
deep and meaningful communication. This fundamental
awareness needs to be instilled from the very first steps of
upbringing to build a society where respect and empathy
have no gender boundaries.
For further promotion of feminist ideas, we propose
launching a series of educational programs, including the
establishment of specialized courses and seminars that will
be accessible to girls and women. These educational
platforms will be focused on the development of professional
and personal competencies, as well as strengthening the
understanding of their rights and possibilities in society.
Moreover, we see great potential in creating clubs and
community spaces where women could share experiences,
support each other, and work together on projects that
promote gender equality. In such places, every woman can
find support and inspiration to realize her ideas and
initiatives.
We are convinced that with the help of these measures, it is
possible to create a foundation for broader implementation of
equality principles in various spheres of public life and
provide women with the resources for full participation in
social, economic, and political processes. This will allow
every woman to feel not only equal but also a valued part of
society, where her rights and opportunities are recognized
and protected at all levels.
