Guidelines for Mid-Term Evaluation

1. Each group is expected to upload a report containing the work done till date in the Eduserver page “CS4090
PROJECT”. Only one member of each group is required to upload the report.
Naming convention for the report: G_GROUPNO
Example: Group No 1 – File name would be: G_01

2. The scanned copy of your report (.pdf format), signed by the guide, should be uploaded in the Eduserver page on
or before 28 February 2020, 5:00PM.

3. Your report should follow the IEEE conference template. (Latex template is given in the Eduserver page)

4. Report should contain the following sections:


Abstract, Introduction, Problem Definition, Literature Survey, Work done, Work Plan (future work plan),
Results (if any), Conclusion, References
End-Semester Evaluation (Revised Plan)

Dates: During 1st to 15th June 2020 (Online)

Guidelines for End-Semester Evaluation

1. As per the Notice issued by the Dean (Academic) dated 11-05-2020, the End-Semester evaluation of the UG
Projects has to be conducted during 1st to 15th June 2020.

2. Project Guides, in consultation with the panel members, will decide on the exact date (in the specified duration)
and appropriate online mode of evaluation for the components (a), (b) and (c) given in the table. Guides may
please inform the same to the students.

3. Each Project Group should send a zipped folder containing the draft of the Project Report and Presentation slides to
the respective guide by email latest by 5 pm on 1st June 2020. After incorporating the suggestions from the guide,
each group will prepare the FINAL version of the Project report and Presentation slides (in pdf format), and send
them in a zipped folder to all the members of the panel by email latest by 5 pm on 5th June 2020. In that email, the
Project groups (after consultation with the guide) should inform all the panel members about the exact schedule and
mode of evaluation. Only one member of each group is required to send the report to the guide / panel members.

The zipped folder containing the FINAL version of the Project Report and Presentation Slides should also be
uploaded to the ‘CSE Eduserver’ page “CS4090 PROJECT” latest by 5 pm on 5th June 2020.

Naming convention:- Folder: G_GROUPNO_FINAL


Report: G_GROUPNO_Report
Presentation: G_GROUPNO_Presentation
Example: Group No. 1:- Folder name would be: G_01_FINAL containing the report G_01_Report and
presentation G_01_Presentation

4. Sample formats/templates for Report and Presentation will be made available in the Eduserver page.

5. Report / Presentation should contain the following sections:


Abstract (for Report) / Outline (for presentation), Introduction, Problem Definition, Literature Survey,
Proposed Method, Implementation, Results and Discussion, Future Work, Conclusion, References

6. Soft copy of the ‘Evaluation Forms’ will be sent by email to the guides. Guides may kindly arrange to fill the forms
and send it back to the Coordinator (cs.btech_pc@nitc.ac.in), with CC to the panel members, from their official
Email ID, with subject „B.Tech Project Evaluation Results - Group <group number>‟ latest by 22nd June 2020.
