Your Compensation:
Your initial CTC will be INR 14 lpa

Why?
• Too much noise in the AI/ML/DS world (where the signals may get lost)
• Real businesses are yet to realize the full benefits of all the data that they generate (exceptions are the digitally native
firms)
• What is missing are ‘translators’ who can understand what businesses need and can work with analysts to get the
problems solved – and then take the solutions to businesses in an adoptable form. These translators can exist on the
client slide or on the service provider's side
• As the analytics services industry grows there are more practitioners than professionals who can help customers with
adoption
• There is a need for a breed of professionals who keep ‘adoption’ first and can understand the ‘creation’ process well
enough to be translators

What?
• Tredence is a fast-growing analytics services and solutions firm that has traditionally filled the ‘translator’ role with
practitioners as they gain more experience of the practice
• We now feel a need to augment this population with ‘translators’ who may not have been ‘practitioners’ but still
understand the practice well enough to play the translator role
• The Management Trainee (MT) program at Tredence is designed to enable MTs to experience the life of a practitioner
for 13-19 months before taking on the role of a translator and team leader (Analytics Consultant) of a group of
practitioners

The Program
• We are looking for folks who have a deep interest in providing ‘data driven’ advice to clients in solving their business
problems
• The design of the program demands at least 18 months of pre-MBA experience primarily in the technology area with an
MBA from a premier institute
• Our 13-19-month MT program is an ‘up or out’ program that is designed to create an ‘Analytics Consultant’ at the end of
this time period. Some will make it in 13 months, a few take 19 months and a rare few do not make it at the end of the
programs when they must separate from Tredence

• The program starts with an intense 8-10 week training program that is designed for entry level practitioners: sitting next
to the MTs will be fresh engineering graduates who go through exactly the same program. This program has emphasis
on data related technology – so far, the focus is on SQL / Excel / R and optional sections on Tableau/Python based on
project needs. There are refresher courses on statistics, structured problem solving and communication.
• A capstone end to end project is used to bring all this knowledge together on a real-life business problem as a part of
the training program
• The training program requires hands-on coding for successful completion. If this does not interest you, please opt out
of the application process. Successfully completing this training is a mandatory requirement to continue with the MT
program (but then you did not really fail in any of your MBA courses did you?)
• Post completion of training, you will spend the first 12 months working like a practitioner as a ‘business analyst’ with
heavy emphasis on learning various methods to process data while solving a client’s business problem.
• Over the 13-19 month period, there will be supplementary milestones that will be required to be met (in addition to
your role as a practitioner) before being ready to move as a ‘translator’. Some of them include -

• Ability to lead a small team

• Acquiring new skills/capability which are not purely on-the-job
• Knowledge sharing
• Building strategic perspectives on problems which might not be directly be linked to respective team’s work

• At the end of the program, the MT is confirmed as an Analytics Consultant and is ready to represent Tredence with
clients handling a project independently
