A Product Data Analyst is a data analyst of the Data Team that works very closely with one of our
Product Features Team, having a direct impact on the product vision and strategic decisions. They
are in charge of the data quality of our data pipelines, work on metrics definition and data analysis
and ensure our stakeholders are aligned with the product team consuming the same high-quality
data.
Overall, we can resume the main responsibilities as follow:
Work closely with the Product Managers (PM) and Tech Leads (TL) of one or more Product
teams.
Provide them with the necessary data insights that will facilitate taking the best decisions
and following the best strategies.
Own the definition and automation of the metrics and KPIs.
Be the owner of the data generated from the Product team leading the implementation of
the ETL tables.
Perform data analysis from (un-)structured data (SQL/Python).
Help our stakeholders to build their data visualizations and reports (Python/Dashboards).
Help our data engineers to improve the steady data processes/pipeline within our ETL
(Airflow/Python).
Make decisions and implement solutions based on your analysis.
Do daily follow-ups and help your project become a success.
You will be part of the Data Science team but working embedded in a Product Team and very close
to the business departments (Ops, Sales, Marketing, Finance). You will be working and learning
together with Full-stack Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts (read our blog posts).
Note that the Data Science team is mostly based in Barcelona and Madrid with some great profiles
working remotely.
Requirements And Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Stats, Economics or Quantitative field and/or a
Data-related master.
4+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
Experience in retrieving data with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Good experience working with Python for data analysis and coding.
Interest in understanding Business logic and identifying data insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with
different levels of management, as well as the business and technical communities.
A valid work permit to be employed in Spain.
Fluent in English is a must.

Tech ⇒ includes all the main engineering profiles and guilds, such as Backend, Frontend,
Android, iOS, and Platform. The majority of them are embedded into the Product Features
teams to create our extremely independent and cross-functional teams.
Data ⇒ includes three different teams, namely BI Engineering (Analytics), Data Science, and
Data Engineering.
How is the Jobandtalent Data team organized?
The Data team includes three different teams that work very closely together.
The Data Engineering one owns the data pipelines and processes that generate the data
needed by our Data Warehouse, and thus by the entire Jobandtalent.
The Data Science team, which owns all the models used by the Product teams
The BI Engineering team is composed of two types of profiles: (i) Product Data Analysts,
which work embedded in the Product Team following a Hub’n’Spoke approach, and (ii) Data
Partners, which are working closely with other departments such as Finance, Sales,
Marketing, etc.
How do we organize the tasks and the planning?
We are very data-driven, we have clear KPIs for each project, team, and goal.
We define strong OKRs for every quarter, we work with bi-weekly Sprint (each team has its
own JIRA Project), and a Data PM is leading the delivery processes and metrics.
