    Assignment No. 1

    DUE: September 10, 2020


    NOTE: ALL PAPERS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO Turnitin.com via Canvas™

    (Please review the syllabus for further information.)

    Please submit a written response to the following requests:

    a) Describe yourself in at least three ways. (Also, please explain if there is anything you
    wish I knew about you.) This information will help me remember your name and you will
    no longer be just a name on an enrollment list.

    b) Canvas account picture: Please post a picture of yourself in your canvas account and,
    perhaps, a short biographical statement. The picture is used to complete the seating chart
    and help me remember your name.

    c) Compare and contrast receiving a college education and a college degree. In essence,
    how are they similar and dissimilar?

    d) Please read the Before the Law by Franz Kafka utilizing (textbook segment F. 1) and
    write a short summary on how this parable relates to a college education and degree.  (If
    you do not have a textbook, this reading can be easily located on the internet.)

    e) Briefly answer, is the rule of law and a government necessary?

    f) Please define what is “fake” news, “being trolled on the internet”, and where to find “real
    or true” news.
