damage, is found in the engine oil, the oil cooler must be renewed and the oil channels thoroughly cleaned
to prevent subsequent damage.

◆ Defective injectors can lead to heavy engine knocking and indicate bearing damage. In the case of com‐
plaints, run the engine at idle and loose the union nuts on the injection lines consecutively. If the knocking
disappears after loosening a union nut, this indicates a defective injector.

- Fill the turbocharger at the pipe connection of the oil feed line with engine oil.

- Allow the engine to idle for about 1 minute after installing the turbocharger; do not rev up the engine imme‐

The turbocharger and boost-pressure control valve constitute a single unit. If a fault develops in the turbo‐
charger, it must always be renewed as repairing is not feasible with the facilities available in the workshop.

sufficient clearance between the exhaust system and the vehicle body. If necessary, release the collar
