Warning
Control units are under no circumstances, during fault tracing or repairs, to be switched
between vehicles without being reprogrammed. Incorrect individual settings in control units
can result in personal injury or damage to the vehicle. For reprogramming and reading the
software, see the help section in VCADS Pro.

Where there is a suspicion of a fault on the control unit, the measurements should always be made
before the control unit is removed.

When returning a control unit for a warranty claim, a copy of the checklist with the measured values
should be attached to the control unit.

Conditions for voltage measurements:

Breakout box 9998699 connected between the control unit and the cable harness by adapter
cable 9998356.
Engine running or 9998960 connected to the data link connector (supplies power to the ECS
control unit).
Measurement position voltage DC with multimeter 9812519
Ubat = Battery voltage.
