Improvement Plan
I will put in place a plan in order to let the
students know that we are getting close to the end
of the semester and it is time to make sure you
have all of your work turned in and if you have
any question please reach out. I think I will do
this through a mass email but individualize it so it
looks like it’s just from me to get that one on one
effect!!
I will open a up a form and maybe a discussion
board for the students to list 5-7 things they
learned in the class and how 3 of them will be
sued for them in the future. I think this is a great
way for them to reflect and to get a good feel for
what they have learned!!
This is something we have done in this class and
it was a great way for me to reflect and also learn
how to use a concept map. The use of a concept
map is really a good one and can be used to help
instruct so much. I think I will add a final
discussion along with my teacher evaluation and
just have them whip up a quick reflection type
concept map of the course with. The sports name
and 1 of each of the three categories they have
learned about it over the class!! This will really
help them make sure they have touched on all the
points they need to for their final paper.
There are two plans here for me one is a long shot
and may not be possible but would be awesome.
 for my students at the end of
the course!
Weakness #5
I need to plan a reflection of
myself of the course
Topic 9.4: Reflecting and Looking Forward
If I could get everyone on a zoom call and we
could just do a debrief and have every reflect on
say the topic projects form the assignments or
something like that!! I think this would be
awesome. Since that is almost impossible and it
being a distant course getting everyone on the
same time may be hard. I may just get them to
record a 2-minute reflection of the class and talk
about one assignment they really love of their
own and one of there peers. I did this in one of my
classes and really loved it!!
Over the period of the course I will be taking
notes of things that didn’t work as well as well as
I thought and make the necessary adjustments for
the next time I teach the course. Also, I will use
the student’s reflection to see what they really
enjoy and what was a struggle for them. Also, I
will see which assignments challenged them in a
good way and try to have a good equal balance
between all of them for the next time I teach the
course. Also pending on where I am at in my
career. I may get my boss or leader of the
program I am teaching to sit down and do a
debriefing with me!!!
