On the occasion of launch of India’s first ever “Multi-Rotor Drone RPAS Operator’s Training
Manual” released by Shri. Madhavan. R, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan
Aeronautics Limited (HAL) with the blessings and encouragement of Shri. Amber Dubey, Joint
Secretary, Minister of Civil Aviation (MoCA), Aerospace and Aviation Sector Skill Council
(AASSC) in association with Aerotics Technologies are proud to present “To India by Indians for
India” an Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan designed specifically to be a standardized training
manual for RPAS operators.

With the patronage of Flying Training Organizations (FTO’s), Government organizations, Public
sector units and Corporate entities in the country, we are happy to announce that with your
blessings and good wishes the entire first print publication has been sold out along with
international orders that make us proud.

Having worked hard on this manual under the guidance and suggestion of Ministry of Civil
Aviation (MoCA), we are extremely happy to announce that the manual that has been tailor
made in India according to Aerospace standards (ATA 100 and Simplified Technical English
(STE)) so that the knowledge of RPAS operations may be accessible to those desirous of
learning about drones.

International books with a price tag of over 100 USD that translate to over 8000 INR are out of
reach for almost every Indian where the amount equates to nearly a month’s salary for some.

Low cost does not translate into low quality. Many people have worked tirelessly behind the
scene to ensure high quality publication as per international standard. It has been a project in
economics and lean production which has enabled us to offer the Indian developed Multi-
Rotor Drone RPAS Operator’s Training Manual at 1/4Th the cost of internationally available
books, being competitively priced at 2020 INR commercially.

Furthermore, in fulfillment of our commitment to spreading the knowledge of unmanned
