SMIP has been selected by ENI Tunisia B.V in 2007 to perform the ‘’ Long
Production Test ‘’ on its wells in Oued Zar and Adam concessions. We started
with NAKHIL well and we have been providing ENI Tunisia B.V with the
necessary equipment and experienced personnel to perform the Long Production
Tests on EL AZEL well and MAJDA well.
Also, SMIP has been selected by SITEP ( Société Italo- Tunisienne d’Exploitation
Pétrolières ) in 2010 to perform the ‘’ Long Production Test’’ on its wells in
EL BORMA field. We have been providing them with the necessary equipment
and experienced personnel to perform the Long Production Test on EB 406 well
and EB 407 well.

SMIP managed to conduct at a high standard the operations ( production and

maintenance ) on the TAZERKA FPSO as a full global service contract including
the operating and maintenance, daily production follow up, provision of
qualified personnel, marine logistics, local and international procurement, off
takes arrangements, and other tasks related to the tanker requirements.

SMIP has been contracted by ATHANOR TUNISIA B.V for the operating and
maintenance of ZINNIA, SANRHAR and ECHOUECH on-shore Tunisian fields
and in charge of all the logistics and studies.

SMIP has performed the commissioning and start up of ENNAGA CPF field in
Libya ( station for 20 000 BOPD ) with high concentration on H2S.

SMIP also has hired high level technicians for the maintenance of gas
compressors, turbines, generators, instrumentation including technical studies
related to the oil industry in Africa ( Gabon, Nigeria, Cameron and Congo ).
SMIP has provided high level technicians in power generation for El Bouri Field
( Libya ) through Nuove Pignoni Italy.

SMIP has provided marine assistance and has been ship-owner of 3080 HP
tug/supply vessel called ‘’ Clupea’’ chartered to several oil companies operating
in Tunisia and overseas such as: BRITISH-GAS, LUNDIN, MP ZARRAT, SEREPT
and WOODSIDE LTD. in Mauritania.
SMIP has been selected by BERGESEN WORLDWIDE OFFSHORE, the
Norwegian company and VETCO for the training of 40 Mauritanian engineers
and technicians ( process and marine ) who will be working on the Berge Helene
FPSO on CHINGUETTI offshore field in Mauritania.
The specialization of the personnel and the quality assurance allowed us to adapt
faster to the oil industry market requirements, and offer customers services
complying with the international quality standards and norms.

WHAT CAN SMIP OFFERS TO ITS CUSTOMERS ?

1) Slick-Line Services :

SMIP can provide every slick-line capability from basic completion intervention
applications to advanced services.

In addition to standard 0.108" slick-line, SMIP also provides 0.125" and 0.160"
slick-line, which gives performance capabilities similar to braided cable.
SMIP has got onshore and offshore slick line units:

• On Shore Unit :

Combination of wire line unit, double drum and telescope crane mounted
on a heavy off-road chassis, with step less variable hydraulic drive for
powerful winch.

 Truck Chassis MAN 6x4

 Telescope crane

• Offshore Units :

 Light Weight Unit ATEX

 Power Pack. ATEX Zone 2 (94/9/EC).

SMIP can perform:

 Well Investigation swabbing ( gauge cutter & drift, Sample Bailer)
 Setting & Pulling Plugs and locking devices, storm‐chokes, etc,
 Gas lift Set & Pull dummy valves,
 Open & close all SSD type
 Punch Tubing Open & Close and test TRSSV
 Shutting or flowing pass of gauges & MPLT up and down in particular
distance by limited velocity or doing SGS Static Gradient Survey, FGS
Flowing Gradient Survey,
 Run BHS (Bottom Hole Sampling);
 Completion and workover wells experience with Cameron, Breda and FMC
wellheads /Xmas trees etc,
 run & pull Diverter lock,
 Isolation sleeve,

equipment’s Slick-Line or E-line handling and maintenance
 All Slick-Line operations.

2) Early Production Facilities :

SMIP can provide its customers with an Early Production Facilities ( EPF ) that
help bring new discoveries on stream as fast as possible to create cash flow and
further define reservoir conditions.

The Early Production facilities are mainly composed of:

• High and low pressure Separators ( test separator, 1st & 2nd stage
separators )
• Process heating systems
• Process cooling systems
• Gas compression ( compressors,…. )
• HP / LP flare gas K.O vessels
• Flare systems
• Produced water treatment system
• Chemical injection package
• Storage tanks
• Pumping stations
• Pipelines
• Power generation and electrical systems
• Safety systems ( shutdown and control, fire and gas detection, fire-
fighting, escape system,,,,,,,)
• Fiscal metering
• Truck and train loading facilities
• Living quarters, control rooms and maintenance facilities.

With oil prices at high levels, operators have strong incentive for early
production to generate cash flow while full field development plans are defined
and long-term facilities are built. A bonus comes in getting better reservoir
performance data before installing more expensive long-term facilities.

SMIP, with the support of AL BADR group companies: PIRECO ( Integrated full
services organization ), EPPM ( Engineering ), SCIN ( Mechanical construction ),
SOCOBAT ( Civil construction) ,,,,,, and according to its experience, can provide
the operators with all the steps to put the field on production from engineering,
procurement , installing to the operating and maintenance of the facilities. That
also preserves capital and manpower, which benefits any operator and can be
crucial for small- to medium-size companies.

SMIP can also provide its customers with a Fit-for-purpose Early Production
facility to produce small oil reserves that could be uneconomic otherwise.

With experienced operators, technicians, supervisors, engineers, management

and system to support them, SMIP is able to provide its customers with turn key
based systems and services from the production of the well to the point of sale.

SMIP can perform projects under a variety of commercial models. This means
that the customers have the flexibility to maximize return on investment. Those
options are:

Build , own , operate

Build, own, operate and transfer
Operation and maintenance.

3) Training :

SMIP, with its high experienced instructors, can provide its customers with a
high level of training in the oil and gas business, especially in the production,
maintenance and the marine activities.
SMIP can develop and implement training programs to give to the trainees the
skills and knowledge needed to improve their performance, create a supportive
work environment to reinforce new skills, produce results that can be tracked on
the job, and so help the company achieve important goals.
SMIP’s training goes beyond the delivery of formal classroom sessions to specify
what must happen before and after instruction to link training to organizational
needs and goals.
SMIP will execute all the interventions in full compliance with HSE local
regulations and international standards in order to safeguard the personnel
health, safety and the environment conditions.

SMIP will use all the means of AL BADR Group ( financial, resources,
equipments,…..) in order to satisfy the customer.
