1.Who/ What group(s) is /are the group(s) that largely influence
you?
 The group that is largely influence me is my family. Because they
are the one who mold, shape, and develop my personality as an
individual.

parents teaches me.

are they?
 Yes, when we are young, we develop primary group and
then later when we enter school, we develop secondary
group.

Activity 3: What I have learn
1. What is social group?

 A two or more people who interact with one another, share


similar characteristics, and collectively have a sense of
unity

2. What are some of your reference group? Why did you prefer
these as your reference?

 My refence group is my family and friends. I prefer them as


my reference because they always there to support me.

3.What are the in-groups and out-groups? Explain the


relationship between them as well as the different factors that
determine the social dynamics within each other?

 In-group is an exclusive, typically small, group of people


with a shred interest or identity. While out-group are those
people who do not belong to a specific in-group.

4.What is the difference between primary group and secondary


group?

 Primary group is typically a small group whose member


share close, personal, enduring relationship. While the
Secondary Group are large groups whose relationships is
impersonal and goal oriented.

5. What is network group? Describe its values and relevance to


socialization?
 A group which people interact through social media. Social
media is very important especially this time of pandemic.
Where our love ones are stock in other places and the only
way to communicate them is thought social media.

Activity 4: Assessment:
Social Group 1. A collection of individuals who have relations
with one another to make them interdependence to some
significant degree.

Primary Group 2. A small intimate and less specialized group.

Reference Group 3. A group which has a strong influence on an


individual’s belief, values, behavior, and attitude.

Network group 4. A structure of relationship which has an


interconnection, ties, linkages between people and the larger
social institutions like social media.

In-group 5. A group to which a person belongs and with which


he or she feels a sense of identity.

Out-group 6. A group to which one does not belong and to


which he or she may feel a sense of competitiveness.

Interdependence 7. A necessary condition that exist within


social groups because the members able to share common
values and principles.

Secondary Group 8. A larger group less intimate and more


specialized engaged in impersonal and objective- oriented
relationship for limited of time.

Workplace 9. An example of secondary group

Primary group 10. A basic primary social group

Favorite sports team 11. An example of out-group

Social Media/Social Network 12. An example of network group


Fraternity (Exclusive for men only) 13. An example of a
reference group.

Aggregate 14. A mere collection of people in the same time


and place which does not necessarily influence individual’s
social actions.
