There are 5 key components in Email Etiquette, and they are the

1. Header
2. Greeting
3. Message Body
4. Closing and
5. Signature

The Header of an email contains:


1. To or The Recipient(s)
2. The Subject or Topic of Your Email
*Sometimes there is a “From” section to see who wrote the email & “Time Stamp” of when
the email was successfully sent.
This is an example an addressed email. It has a header, greeting, message body, closing,
and signature.

The header in a letter contains:


1. The mailing address
2. Today’s date
Text Message: a form of
communication sending
messages electronically
using letters, numbers, and
sometimes emoticons
between 2 or more users of
mobile devices, and/or other
messaging apps.
