Summary of Qualifications:

I have had a very different experience growing up than most other people. Being in a
military family, I had the opportunity to move places every couple of years. This allowed
me to gain a profound knowledge of a myriad of ethnicities, backgrounds, and cultures.
Being culturally aware and educated is a fundamental aspect in regards to contemporary
education. The ability to live in different countries has also made it possible for me to
learn languages outside of my own native tongue. The experiences I have had of often
having to leave a new home has made me determined, motivated, patient, and eager for
new opportunities.

Experience:

Fall 2020 - Current Teacher Assistant / CSI Student

Having a desire to gain more education field experience, I decided to apply for a job as a
Teachers Assistant. I have been working at the Early Learning Development Center at the
College of Southern Idaho. I develop and review lesson plans and family notices, as well
as help the teacher facilitate the lessons. In addition to the lesson plans, I help care for the
younger children through preparing meals, changing diapers, and gaining experience and
a deeper understanding of a child’s cognitive development. Aside from being a T.A., I am
a full time student working towards an Elementary and Special Education major.

Summer 2019- Summer 2020 D&B Supply / CSI Student

While working at D&B Supply, I was able to gain a great deal of experience in customer
service. Although this may seem unrelated to education experience, this job taught me
many fundamental qualities necessary when working with others. It taught me the
importance of having patience with coworkers, overcoming disagreements or
altercations, as well as how to come to a common understanding. While working full
time, I continued to be a full time CSI student.

2015-2018 Nanny

I worked as a Nanny for a two-year-old boy while living in Rome, Italy, being a high
school student, as well as participating in multiple sports. For three years, my main
responsibilities as a nanny were to create a safe and stimulating environment for the
child, bathing and dressing, planning meals and preparing food, educational activities, as
well as furthering cognitive and physical development.
