With this activity, the following learning outcomes are expected:

Learning Outcome 1: To apply the concepts regarding translation techniques through


the completion of different translation tasks.

The activity consists of:

Step 1 – Analysis chart:


Download the file with the name: "Blackwater Mountain". Read carefully the source
and the target text.

Considering the course contents in units 1 and 2, create a chart where you divide the
source text into segments with their corresponding translation. Then add the
translation technique you consider the translator used to translate each segment.
Afterwards, decide which translation method was used by the translator to translate
the whole text. Write a paragraph where you explain the reasons, according to the
analysis. Relate it to the content of the course, cite and use references according to
APA.

 Follow APA standards, taking into account that concepts develop that are not
authored by students are mandatory. Remember to use citation.
Please keep in mind that all individual or collaborative written products must comply
with the spelling rules and presentation conditions defined in this activity guide.
Regarding the use of references, consider that the product of this activity must
comply with APA Format.

In any case, make sure you comply with the rules and avoid academic plagiarism.
You can review your written products using the Turnitin tool found on the virtual
campus.

Under the Academic Code of Conduct, the actions that infringe the academic order,
