FINAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
For PGDM & MBA

Final Presentation carries 100 Marks. It is divided into two parts.


1) Presentation Report in Word Doc – 50 Marks 2) Presentation in PPT – 50 Marks

GUIDELINES FOR REPORT (WORD DOC) SUBMISSION


1. Write original report. Copying from any source (plagiarism) is strictly not allowed. Any kind of
copying will lead to rejection of the report
2. Follow the exact sequence of content as specified in this instruction
3. Company has been allocated to each student, list is displayed in the notice board
4. Student should refer to www.aceanalyser.com or the suggested websites for collecting facts and
figures – Fundoodata.com; company website, bizstats.com; business.gov.in; IBEF.org,
Bloomberg, Equity Master, Industry Authority web portals.
5. Images from the internet can be included with relevance to the subject matter
6. Specify the source (website) while specifying the Facts & Figures
7. Use a cover page
8. Generate Table of Content automatically and not manually
9. Fonts Size of 12 for body, 14 for Heading 1 and 13 for Heading 2 should be used
10. Font Type of Times New Roman for the body and Cambria for the heading should be used
11. Use break page to write in a new page
12. Submission deadline for soft copy report to mentor is 10th December 2020. Late submissions will
attract the penalty of 5 marks per day. Hard Copy Word Doc report submission to Exam department
once students report to campus physically.
13. Presentation Report will carry 50 marks and Power Point Presentation will carry 50 marks.
14. Final presentations are tentatively scheduled from 25th December, 2020 for both MBA and PGDM
students.
EXPECTED CONTENT OF PRESENTATION REPORT (50 MARKS)

A) ASPECT COVERED – SECTORAL INFORMATION (5 Marks)

1. Provide sectorial information. Cover the following content while presenting the facts about the
sector allocated to you.
1. Worldwide sectorial Contribution to the World Economy (GWP) (Display through Pie-Chart)
2. GDP % Contribution to the Indian Economy (Display through Pie-Chart)
3. Historical Growth/De-growth Pattern observed in the last 5 years (refer to Indian Context) (Display
through Bar - Graph)
4. Explain the reasons for the Growth/Degrowth pattern observed in the sector. (Write in points and
explain each point in 2-3 sentences.)
5. Porter’s Five Forces Model (diagram to elaborate indicators of sector)

In PPT, you may use 2-3 slides to cover this and 2 minute to explain the slides.

B) ASPECT COVERED – COMPANY INFORMATION (5 Marks)

2. Provide company information. Cover the following content while presenting the facts about the
company allocated to you.

1. Promoters of the Company and company snapshot


2. Market Share of the company (Display through Pie-Chart)
3. Product/Services Profile & Target Market – Product/Services offered by the company
4. Competitor Analysis (List the competitors of the company and their respective market share)
5. News (Last 6/12 month) incl. corporate announcement
In PPT, you may use 2-3 slides to cover this and 2 minutes to explain the slides.

C) ASPECT COVERED – MARKETING STRATEGY (10 Marks)


1. SWOT analysis of company
2. Conduct STP and market planning of company
3. Map the products/services of the company in BCG matrix and plot their PLC
4. Comparison of sales of company for past 3 years
5. Study the marketing and promotional strategy of the company and link it with current company
performance
In PPT, you may use 4-5 slides to cover this and 4-5 minutes to explain the slides.
D) ASPECT COVERED – BUSINESS FINANCE (10 Marks)
1. Understanding the financial statements in detail – I/S, B/S, CFS
2. Direct and indirect costs of the company – change in comparison to previous year
3. Fixed assets added during the year
4. Working Capital requirement for the year
5. All ratios – liquidity, solvency, turnover, profitability, ROCE and ROIC

In PPT, you may use 3-4 slides to cover this and 3-4 minutes to explain the slides.

ASPECT COVERED – HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (10 Marks)

1. Organization Structure – to be represented via hierarchy


2. Analysis of JDs and Job Specifications posted by the company on online-job portals
3. Training needs of the company
4. Organization culture (as per employee reviews or research findings)

In PPT, you may use 3-4 slides to cover this and 3-4 minutes to explain the slide.

GUIDELINES FOR FINAL PPT PRESENTATION (50 Marks)


1. Reference/Resources should be mentioned as footers in respective slides
2. Relevant images and graphs should be used to represent data
3. Fonts Size of 36 for heading and 28 or 24 for body should be used
4. Slides should not be cluttered and with not more than 3 points
5. Use of audio-visual medium is preferred
6. ‘Google’, ‘the internet’, ‘Wikipedia’ and ‘slideshare.com’ are not acceptable resources of data
7. Plagiarism (Directly copying from any source) is strictly not allowed. You need to rewrite in your
own words.
8. Presentation duration should be maximum 15 minutes
9. Maximum no. of slides permitted is 18
10. Any presentation without data support and data analysis will not be accepted and that presentation
will be given zero mark. Source of data has to be clearly mentioned.
