AIR PRE-HEATER MOTOR
Type Trisector, rotary type (Ljungstrom) Motor power 22kW
Speed 0.9 rpm /0.23 rpm (Low) FLC/Voltage 39.6 A/415V

Pre Start up Checks.

1. No PTW is pending.
2. EPB is in released condition.
3. All manholes and observation doors are closed.
4. APH (A, B) secondary air outlet dampers are close & dampers power supply is ON.
5. APH (A, B) primary air outlet dampers are close & dampers power supply is ON.
6. APH (A, B) flue gas inlet dampers are close & dampers power supply is ON.
7. APH main motor power supply & auxiliary motor power supply is ON.
8. The compressed air source manual valve of the air preheater’s pneumatic motor open and the
control solenoid valve of the air preheater’s pneumatic motor is closed.
9. Bypass MIV of the control solenoid valveof the air preheater’s pneumatic motor is closed.
10. CCCW system is in service.
11. Ensure the inlet and outlet valves of the lubrication system of the air presenter’s guide bearing
and support bearing is in open condition.
12. Support bearing Cooling water inlet, outlet valves are open.
13. Support bearing oil level is normal.
14. Guide bearing Cooling water inlet, outlet valves are open.
15. Guide bearing oil level is normal.
16. Oil level in gear box is normal (minimum 2/3 position of the oil level gauge).
17. Air preheater water washing and firefighting water pipeline valves are closed.
18. APH Soot blowing system is in healthy condition.
19. Ensure that APH outlet SA damper got full open after starting of APH.
20. Observe for any abnormal sound from gear box or from APH after starting of APH.
21. Ensure APH soot blower is in retract condition.

Post Shut Down Checks

1. Ensure that the APH is stopped safely and there is no abnormal and rubbing sound.
