Ammeter

Voltmeter

To adjust the resistance in the circuit.

1
Ammeter B

Ammeter B is more sensitive than ammater A.

2
The ammeter reading in diagram 2.1 is greater than that in diagram 2.2

The more the number of bulbs in parallel circuit, the greater the ammeter reading.

In diagram 2.1,when the number of bulbs in parallel circuit increase, the resistance decreases,
thus the current flow through the circuit increases and the ammeter reading become greater.

3
less bright

The greater the ammeter reading, the greater the voltmeter reading.

Ohm's Law

5
Resistance

Constantan wire s.w.g 36

The gradient of constantan wire s.w.g 36 is greater, thus it has a higher resistance.

6
To represent the electric field lines.

ASPECT EXPLAINATION

(i) Sphere shape The two opposite charges will attract

electrodes each other and a uniform electric field
is formed

(ii) Large size Stronger charges will produce a clearer

electrode electric field lines

(iii) Distance between The charges between electrodes become

electrodes must stronger
be shorter

(iv) High voltage power To produce clearer and stronger electric

supply field lines

(v) Small size seeds Lighter and easy to align itself along the
electric field lines

7
It does not obeys Ohm's law because the potential difference,V is not directly proportional
to the current,I.

Increases

4(b) - In circuit B, the wire is thicker and the bulb is brighter than circuit A.
- The greater the current flow through the circuit, the brighter the bulb.
- The lower the resistance of the connecting wire, the greater the current flow in the circuit.
-The thicker the connecting wire, the lower the resistance.
- For connecting wire of the same material and length, the resistance is inversely proportional
to its cross-sectional area.
