Animals are around us. We see different kinds of animals everyday.
Some animals are big, some are small, some are friendly and some are not.
Animals are our friends. In this lesson, you will know more about these
animals.

Phil and His Animals

which include dog, a turtle, a cat and a fish.

Let’s Study

Observe different kinds of animals in your place. Are they all the
same or different? Why? Why not?

Fish lives in water. It swims, has scales for its body covering and
eats marine plants and small fishes.

Birds live in trees or stay in air most of the time. They fly, have
feathers and eat both plants and small insects.
Snake lives on land. It crawls, has scales and eats other animals.

Lions live in forest. They run or walk, have fur and eat other
animals.

Goats live on land. They run or walk, have fur and eat plants.
Thus:
 Different kinds of animals differ in many ways. They differ on
their habitats. The way they move, body coverings and the
food that they eat.
